About: The Last Olympian Books In Order: The Last Olympian The Last Olympian This book is an amazing end to an amazing series. Combining wit with Greek mythology could have easily ruined any book, but Riordan did it with an A+ grade, and a few more +s besides! It's great that he made the characters and poeple with actual Greek weapons(not counting the part when Annabeth's dad saves the day). This series just wouldn't be the same if all the characters ran around with guns and all that modern day stuff. The Party Ponies were another exception, but they were crazy enough to make up for it. This book also does great at using modern statues, buildings, and symbols that supported its story of the gods affecting life in America. (For example, Daedalus had the statues of New York rigged up to obey his commands Books In Order, or at least the commands of anyone who knew how to activate them. All in all, this is one of the best books I have ever read and I encourage everyone to read it. I bought this for my 12 yr old grandson. I marked it at a 5 star just for the fact that he loves these books and is actually reading them. In his words this was a "awesome book" and he can't wait for them to make a movie out of it. No spoilers here! I'll just say that Rick Riordan is another Books In Order which is an extremely talented writer. I loved all his books and got hooked on the series after stumbling across it at a bookstore only about a year after it was first published. Awesome writer. Another good novel if you like this type of genre is "Mightier than the Sword" by Megan Webster. GREAT book. She's a debut author too and I'd expect her book to get really popular within the next year or so.
