About:

Sams Teach Yourself C in 21 Days - Bradley L. Jones, Peter Aitken

Having started my programming career with Prolog programing, I began this book with minimal prior knowledge of programming in a language like C, and found i didn't need any! This was a well planned, well thought out book. In addition, most probably any beginner to the world of programming could learn C from this book. I was very impressed, it was a good read and a great beginning to programming.

If like most beginners, you are new to C and new to programming in general, this book will be very useful for you. The style is simple, the programs are not too complicated and the concepts are explaind gradually. While it doesn't explain all that is needed to master the standard C library, this book will make you feel confortable with the language and will give you some knowledge to follow more advanced and acclaimed C books. There is nothing advanced here, just an honest introduction to the language.

But if you're already a Master programmer, you may be better off buying something like the C books by Dennis Ritchie or Guy Steele, but if you're a beginning programmer who wants to learn C as your first or second programming language, this would be a great book to learn from.

This is the sort of book that you dip into and return to when you remember that it contains something relevant to your current project. By the same token, how useful this book will be to you depends entirely on how many of its topics are relevant to your work or play. Not an essential book, but fun - and it might even repay your effort.

Conclusion

It worths the money it costs. If you are looking for a programming language book without any confusing and technological jargons, then this is your book, buy it without hesitation. Recommended.
